Two Identities

I recently had to reinstall the Operating System. Now I
have two similar, but different, identities in the
Documents and Settings folder.

John C. Moore and John Moore

The former is the original idenitity. Does anyone know
how to clean this up? I'm even getting double e-mails in
Outlook.

Hi John,

Copy off what you want to keep from the original user profile, then delete
it. You will not be able to use it, as it it tied to the security ID's of
the original installation (which are now gone since you reinstalled). Next
time do a repair installation instead, which will preserve your user
profiles:

As to Outlook, you need to check your mail settings, as this problem would
not be caused by the dead user profile.
