two hard drives and wont to install a program on other HD

i got two hard drives C and D, If im on my c drive can i
install a programs on the other drive, the D drive?
trying to install operating system to my ohter drive from
the drive im on?
 
Thats what a second hd is for.If you download a program
instead of it loading to C:,click the browse,for D:,or
type in D: drive.Try moving photos,and music to D: as
well,making new folders will give you more storage
points.
