Two "getting started" questions from a newcomer.

Two questions

1. When I open Outlook, it doesn't automatically bring up my dialer to access my mail, as does Outlook Express. In other words, whenever I click on my Express shortcut, my dialer appears, permitting me to dial up and check my mail. But when I click on the Outlook shortcut, the program opens, but then I have to call the dialer up separately

2. When Outlook opens, I always see this window labeled Microsoft LDAP Directory. It doesn't matter whether I click "okay" or "cancel," because nothing seems to happen. How do I stop this window from popping up

These are the two main reasons I'm still using Express. It requires only one click, and that annoying LDAP message doesn't come up every time

Thanks in advance for your advice!

What version of Outlook? The generic requirements is that you have to enable
Outlook to check mail when you load it and to use the dialer. The exact
location may vary with your version. Try tools, accounts and check the
connection properties for the account. Also verify that automatic send
receive is enabled in tools, send/receive groups. For more specific
instructions, we need to know your outlook version.

open tools, accounts, change address books and delete the ldap.

I have Outlook 2003.

Thanks for the LDAP help. Now I still need to configure it so that when I open the program, my dialer also opens. At least, this is how it's always worked with Express, so I know there must be a way to do it.

Thanks again!
