Two folder view copies of my email data file

Hello, All!

Suddenly I have two instances of my main pst file (the default email file)
showing up in OL. I only have one pst, but it 'appears' to load twice and I
can not get rid of either duplicate. I know I've seen in the past a way to
fix this, but I do not recall the answer. Anyone?

Thanks,
Colonel Blip.

Create a new mail profile via the mail applet icon in the control panel.
Once the new one is created, delete the old one. (Note: do not copy the old
profile as it is corrupted.)

/neo

PS - I'm assuming you are using Outlook 2002/2003.

Thanks. That solved the problem altho it was a real pain to redo all of my
email accounts.

Is there anyway to back up a profile file so a future problem can be solved
by the backup copy?

Thanks,

Colonel Blip.

WIth Outlook 2002/2003 (or 2007?) you can use the Microsoft Office Tools
Save My Settings wizard. Or you can export the registry key that holds the
profile.
