I used windowsupdate and something in it made all my settings go away. It's
like I lost the entire profile.
all NG settings gone, desktop back to original etc. email accounts gone,
home page changed.

One of the weirder things is that my outlook2k, which had no account in it
after this update, when accounts were added, now have two copies in the
folder view.

When I try to open one of them I get "unable to open folder..."
where are these stored and how can I delete them?
using winxp pro and OlXP

If you can't right-click on the copy you don't want anc choose "Close", then
click File>Data File Management, select the file you don't want and click
Remove. If that doesn't work, use Control Panel's Mail applet (Control
Panel>User Accounts>Mail) to create a new mail profile.
