Do you have 2 POP3 accounts configured that use the same POP3 server? If so
set only one to receive mail. Tools-> Options-> tab Mail Setup-> button
Send/Receive...-> button Edit...
How did you upgrade? By means of buying a new machine, formatted your
existing system or inserted the CD and choose to upgrade? In the case of the
last recreating your mail profile could solve the problem as well. Control
Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles...
