Hi

I am using thunderbird for email pointing to Exchange 2003. Now I installed
Office 2003. I set up Outlook 2003 twith he Cached Exchange Mode enabled.
It downloaded all my emails to my Outlook. But it is not downloading them
into my Thunderbird. I would like to leave copies of my emails in the
Exchange Server so that when I use Thunderbird this would download all the
emails as well.

How can I do this ?

Cached exchange mode DOES leave the messages on the exchange server. It
sounds like thunderbird is not seeing the messages as "new" once outlook
downloads them. Not sure what the solution is.

I suspect you're NOT using Cached Exchange mode as you claim. CLick
Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next and examine the "Delivery new e-mail to the
following location" drop-down at the bottom left. If it doesn't say
"Mailbox - yourname" then you're delivering your messages to a PST, which
will remove them from the server.

Hello Best,

As Marvin and Brian discussed, if you use the Cached exchange mode in
Outlook 2003, the messages will remain on the Exchange Server. Please
follow Brian's suggestion to check if you have followed the correct steps
to enable this feature and not delivering your messages to a local PST file.

If the suggestion doesn't help, please log on to OWA to check if the
messages still remain on Exchange Server.

If the messages show up in OWA, I am afraid that you need to contact the
support from Thunderbird side to get more assistance as we lack resources
to troubleshoot the thirdparty issues. Thank you for your understanding.
