Two copies of same Personal Folders

I have just installed OUTLOOK on a new laptop and trransferred my OUTLOOK.PST
over to the new machine.

I have now seeing two sets of identical Personal Folders in the main of the
main OUTLOOK screen. I can't close either copy.

I have checked the path and it is exactly the same file that is being shown
twice.

I had run all the updates.

I ran Microsoft Update again but it did not find any updates for Office.

I set up a new profile which does not have the duplicate set of folders so
importing from my old file at the moment then can use the new one.

Thanks

Welcome,
Just click on the link "Why should I rate a post?" at the bottom of this
window.
Rgrds,

Don't use import but connect to it by File-> Open-> Outlook Data File
instead.
In your account settings you can set it as your default delivery location
