two computers sharing single outlook.pst file

John

Since I travel a lot, I've been using my laptop in a docking station at home.
Recently I have been doing a lot of photo editing so have bought a much
faster desktop. Both computers have XP Pro and Office 2007 and are connected
to my 1GB LAN. I've mapped my shared laptop data files to a drive on the
desktop so I have single copies of these files whether I'm home or away.

Can I similarly share my laptop outlook.pst file folder, map it to a desktop
drive and then redirect my desktop outlook to use this laptop outlook.pst
file instead of the one on the laptop? This seems like a good way to keep
my desktop and laptop Outlook files in sync. Where do I tell the desktop
outlook to use the file on the mapped drive?

Thank you for your help. -John
