I used TweakUI to restore my desktop icons. It restored all of my icons back to the default, but they look like 16 bit color icons now. Does anyone know how to restore all the windows xp default icons with full color?>

Or, manually edit the registry and set 'Shell Icon BPP' value to 16::

Tweak UI has a bug there (I think it is fixed in the version 2.10
version post XP SP1). But
Start - Run - run regedit.exe

Open to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics
and in the right pane double click 'Shell Icon BPP' and set to 16
