TweakUI Problem

B

Bill Michelson

I uninstalled Tweak UI v 1.33 after I upgraded to windows
XP Professional by deleting the tweakui.cpl file.

I downloaded v2.00.1 from the microsoft website and
installed it. It works great.

However, when I rebooted, an error message occured
saying "Could not locate tweakui.cpl". This message
continues to appear everytime I reboot.

Does anoyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks

Install tweakui 1.33 and uninstall it correctly through Add/Remove Programs. But as it can do stuff that tweakui 2 can't I'd leave it installed.

Hi Bill,

Automated or Manual: Delete these 4 files:

c:\windows\system32\tweakui.cpl
c:\windows\help\tweakui.hlp
c:\windows\help\tweakui.cnt
c:\windows\inf\tweakui.inf

Then type msconfig in Start - Run and untick the line on the start up tab
that has rundll32 tweakui.cpl,TweakMeUp

Uninstall TweakUI version 1.33 (Line 35)
