tweak to make it faster

I've installed vista ultimate version on virtual pc.
It works a bit slow and I'd like to make it faster. Can anyone give me
some tips or tweak to try to make it lighter? I don't care about the
fancy look. Only the basic functionality matters to me.

First thing, turn off the event logs, I don't know if it's enabled in
virtual mode, I think most of us here doesn't run vista in virtual mode,
you're the first that I know.

Did you install VM Additions? And are you using VPC2004 or VPC2007?

Did you install VM Additions? And are you using VPC2004 or VPC2007?

This was it. I installed VM Addition and it acts a lot more fluent.
I'm at best the second to try vista on vpc. My colleague had installed
vista on vpc before I did.
I give the vpc 1 g memory to vpc2007 upon XP.


Thanks all who replied. However, I probably need more tweaks to really
enjoy vista on vpc 2007.
