1.) does it support on-board mpeg hardware encoding?

2.) it looks like a low profile card...is it packaged with a low profile
(half-height) case mounting bracket?

I don't think it uses onboard encoding, though it may. It has a Connexant multimedia chip.

The card is half-height but the brack is full size.
