TV Tuners / pvrs

Hi,
I've been looking at the Avermedia TVBox 9, thinking it was the perfect
product for me, since I can watch tv on my monitor, without the noise of my
PC. I also THOUGHT that I could plug this box in via USB, and use it as a
PVR via the PC if required - but I have just realised that I can't do that -
it does not have a USB connection at all.

Does anyone know of a product which allows both connection direct to a
monitor - as well as connection via USB to a PC to use as a PVR - so that
the PC does not need to be on ALL the time?

Thanks,
Daniel.

Wht not just get a USB tuner thingy, and split the cable going in.
Better yet, get a PVR tuner card.

Because a USB or PVR box would require that the PC is on for me to watch tv.

I want a box which has both a VGA connector which I can connect direct to my
monitor to view TV without ever switching the PC on (mainly because of the
noise of the PC).. but, also a USB port, so I can use it for recording TV to
the PC - when I need to.

I'm not saying to choose one, I am saying get both.
