TV Tuner sound stops

I read this article and it addresses the fix for
processors that have hyperthread technology. My TV tuner
card does the same thing and my P4 processor 1.8 GHz does
not have hyperthread technology. I'm running XP Pro.
I've actually tried two different TV tuner cards and two
different sound cards all with the same results. Does
anyone have anything on this? Thanks.
