Turning off unneccesary startup programs

I know how to do this but I can't tell what they are just by looking at them.
If there's something I know I don't want running is there a way to find the
item in the startup list like MSN? I remove it from the toolbar but it always
returns on reboot.

How do YOU turn off unnecessary start-up programs ?

The first thing to do is look in the actual program's options/preferences
for an option to load/not load when Windows starts.

Then look in the Start Mehu -> Startup group.

THEN thru MSCONFIG.

Double click one to open its window and then look for where in its options
you can turn off starting at computer startup.
