turning off safe mode?

how do you turn off safe mode? i've been advised to restart/reboot bu
I've tried and I come back up in safe mode. The F8 key does not wor
when rebooting to get me back to normal mode. thanks

Bring up the run command and type in msconfig and hit ok
On the boot.ini tab uncheck "safe boot".
