Turning off Auto-Reply

Hi,

I have a client where I have setup an exchange server (2000 with latest
patches) for the purpose of collaboration. Their email is still standard POP
mail from an ISP.

I have one person who is storing his email in a folder on the exchange
server. The client is Outlook 2k3 with all the latest patches.

Here's the problem. When people send him a return receipt, it is
auto-sending the reply regardless of settings we do in his Outlook and I
cannot find any setting at the server level to turn this off. I have also
tried everything I can think of at the client level with no luck.

Does anyone have an idea?

Autoreply to the Internet is disabled by default in Exchange 2k/2k3. If this
user is still using POP on the client side, it's likely the culprit. I
believe you posted a similar message in another group, to which I replied
similarly....as far as I know, read receipt blocking is supposed to be a
single thing per profile, but it's hard to say with your config. Test with a
profile without POP.
