Hi,

I need help with TV turner with ATI All In Wonder X600Pro, form the
begining, it can't tune channel 18, it looks fuzzy, with static,
blank and White, and no sound, and I test it in my TV's and the
channel looks pretty cool, no glitches, or interfernce it's one of
the best cahnnel that my Tv tune. I install the software that came
with ATI CD (Catalystics 5.08 with MMC 9.03) and the firts time it
works fine, but if I closed TV MMC and I open it again and so on, it
doesn't work, If i restart the computer of course they never again
works fine. So I uninstall and tried with ATI Internet software
(Catalyst 5.11 and MMC 9.08) and it never can't tune channel 18. Can
anyone help me with this?

MotherBoard: Asus P5LD2 Deluxe (Bios 405),
with realtek sound ALC882, Ethernet Gbit, Gameport Disable.

I have a similar problem with an ATI TV Wonder Elite on channels 5 and 6.
Even if those channels look perfect via regular TV or a VCR hooked to the
card's channel 3 , there is no way the Elite will detect those channels thru
the scan routine. I'll probably have to first uninstall all related ATI
drivers including Cyberlink's Power Cinema 3, shut down the system
completely and physically take the card out. Then a complete restart wihtout
the card, shut down again and reinstall everything. If this doesn't work ,
then I'll return the card for a new one or something else. Those problems
started to occur after I tried to change the name of cable5 inside Power
Cinema. The channel manager interface makes you think that you can rename
channels but it looks as if this info will conflict somewhere inside the
scaning routine. As far as I know, this is what I suspect but it's not a
certitude. It could be hardware related. I tried to reinstall the software
wihtout saving preferences but it won't work. A complete reinstallation of
the card is the next step for me if I want to use those channels without
using the VCR's tuner to access them .

UHF or Cable channel 18? Did you make the proper antenna /cable selection in
the Initialization Wizard? What channels above and below 18 can you get?
