Turn On Monitor Then It Goes GBlack ??

Basically i turn on my monitor , and after 2 seconds it just goes black ,
this happens over and over n i need help please someone, tits urgent

2. The video board is bad.

3. Connections between the above!

Try that monitor on a different system
Try a different monitor on that system

That should tell you if the monitor is bad, or if it's the video card.
