Turn off the "Show in Groups" default settings. Nobody I know li.

It is extremely annoying to have to constantly turn off the "Show in Groups"
default settings for all folders created in Microsoft Outlook. How can I
permanently disable this incredibly bad default setting?
 
You need the change it in the Messages view. Go to Views, Arrange By,
Custom, Define and then modify it. You may want to start outlook using the
cleanviews switch to make sure you don;t have any one offed views.

This does not work quite as simply as you have described. I, too, have
struggled with this "feature," and tried the solution described, but it only
applies to the folder you apply it to - UNLESS you perform and extra step.
