Turn off sounds

Whenever surfing on the web, clicking on links, buttons,
etc, creates a sound. How can I turn this sound off?
When I listen to music it gets disrupted because of this
clicking sound.

Change or remove the sound.
Control Panel-Sounds
"Start Navigation" and "Complete Navigation" are the relevant items.
