Michael

I want to turn off my monitor. the problem is, i don't
have access to the power switch. (the powerswitch is on
the backside of the monitor, and it is encased in a kiosk)

I have 2 users on this system, an admin, and a guest. I
have it set that after 10 minutes of activity the accounts
logoff. I have both accounts set that after 15 minutes
the monitor is supposed to turn off (in the power
management settings)

however, the monitor doesn't turn off after 30 minutes.

Is there a way to have the monitor "turn off" at the logon
screen after certain period of time?

Check the hardware manufacturer's web site for the latest Windows 2000
driver for your graphics adapter and monitor.

I tried that, anything else? The driver updates are too
large for floppy, and i don't have a burner. I can't find
out what my monitor is either, so ican't update the
monitor driver

Seems you'll need to somehow get past these issues.
