Turn off first letter capitalization

I'd like to turn off the annoying "feature" where Outlook capitalizes
the first character of each line when you hit the enter key.

If I wanted it capitalized, I would have hit the shift key, also.

Microsoft, thinking everyone wants to do it their way...hmmmm

Stop using Word as the e-mail editor called by Outlook and start using the
e-mail editor included in Outlook. Or learn to configure Word's behavior
like you want. This isn't an Outlook problem.

If you happen to be using Outlook's editor and plain text formats, this option
can be easily disabled. From within the message body, simply click on Tools >
AutoCorrect Options and then disable "Capitalize first letter of sentences".
This setting will remain in effect until you change it back.

I was unaware that it was set like that.
Thanks.

Actually, as Sharky notes, there is an AutoCorrect within Outlook. I forgot
about that. You don't get the spelling checker unless Word is installed.
