The turn off computer options box keeps popping up on it's own like it is on
a loop, I click cancel and it comes back it is doing this constantly now and
sometimes just shuts the computer down in a standby mood. I have checked all
settings. What's going on? How do I stop this so it comes up when I want it
to. Help Please.
Thanks

It is not a laptop and I checked all the cords and power supply. I have heard
that it may be overheating? Have you heard of this?

Hey PA Bear
No not hot here or cold normal conditions. Not on the floor, cleaned all the
bunnies, checked fans all 3 running. Ran diagnostics and everything else I
own. Nothing detects why it keeps looping. Any other ideas please let me
know. Thanks

Is the machine running WinXP SP2 and is it fully up-to-date at Windows
Update?

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

analysis, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
