Turn off automatic spell checking for special sections of a docume

I use word to document development design including example source code. I
want to turn off automatic syntax and spell checking for just this section of
a word document. Ideally, I would like to define a "code" style and turn off
spell and syntax checking for anything set to that style. Can it be done?

Certainly. Create your style and choose Format | Language: Do not check
spelling or grammar.
