TTF Font

A few years ago I created a 'hand writing' truetype font.
I've used it ever since. On a recent Windows XP update,
Windows has determined that this is an invalid file...will
not even allow it into the Fonts directory. A bunch of
legacy and template files are now altered!

This TTF file works fine on other computers. What is the
problem? Can this be reversed?

You could subscribe to alt.binaries.fonts and post your font there with
a request for someone to try to fix it for you. The people in the group
have access to many fancy tools that can reconstruct "invalid" fonts,
and are generally very happy to help if they can.

Worth a try.

CRS.

I had used the Oxford English Dictionary software for years
under 98 and under XP. Recently it stopped working under XP.
I uninstalled and re-installed in safe mode. First time I
tried it in safe mode it worked fine. Rebooted the machine
and the fonts were replaced with something else.

It installs a bunch of TTF on the machine, old english, galeic,
etc. Perhaps we are seeing the same problem and maybe someone
has the fix.
