TS client licensing and sizing

If all my clients are 2000 professional and XP do I need
to purchase additional Terminal server client licenses for
them or is the TS license included with 2k/XP.

Also is there a maximum number of users that a terminal
server in application server mode will support.

thanks

Assuming that your TS runs W2K, then you don't have to buy any TS
CALs for W2K Pro or XP Pro clients.
BUT: these clients do *not* have a build-in TS CAL, they get a free
TS CAL from the TS Licensing Server. So you must install and activate
a TS Licensing Server (on your Domain Controller, if in a W2K
domain).

There is no hardcoded limit to the number of connections that a TS
can support. All depends on your hardware, the number and type of
applications, etc.

Since you didn't specify the OS of your Terminal Server, If it's is 2003 then you do need 2003 Windows CALs & 2003 TSCALs for each connection

2003 Licensing info here

As Vera stated there is no set limit on how many RDP connections a single server can handle, but here are some configurations that will give you a sense of how many connections your TS might handle. Do your own testing BEFORE deployment
