TS 2003 - Licensing (switch device > user)

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I believe I made a mistake and hopefully will be able to remedy
this...

I've setup my Win2003 Terminal Server and Licensing Server (same
hardware).

I found out we had 30 XP CAL's that qualified for the transitional
licensing (i.e. pre April 2003).

Successfully installed the 30 pack into my Licensing Server. However,
it's listed as PER-DEVICE...I now realize that what I want/need is
PER-USER.

I've already re-configured the TS server to operate in PER-USER
mode...but is there any way to re-apply my 30 CAL's to PER-USER?

Hello.
Just call the MS Clearinghouse, and they will switch them for you. Should
take you about 10 minutes once you get somebody on the phone. You can find
the phone number by searching for clearinghouse on the MS support site.

Thanks, but I already tried that. It wasn't easy getting through, but
when I did, he told me to contact the vendor.

Maybe I got the wrong guy...that happens quite alot of course.

I called the MS Clearinghouse again and got a very helpful woman this
time who converted my CALS.
