TS 2003 client is able to print through one TS App and not the 2nd

Client connects to two apps running on the same server. She is able to print
locally through one app, but the 2nd app freezes after she submit the print
job. The 2nd app an old application.
Any ideas?

How long is the printer name?

Some old apps can't deal with long printer names.

If this is the problem, you need to shorten the name:

1. Rename the printer on the client to a short name,
for example, five characters or less. No spaces in
the name.

2. Rename the client's computername if necessary. This
name will contribute to the length of the autocreated
printer name on the server. Make it short as well, for
example, five characters or even less.
