Trying to verify if my computer firewall is enabled

S

Steve

I tried to follow Microsoft's directions to check to see
if my firewall is enabled. Went to Network Connections.
There are 4 items:
dialup: America Online,
Network bridge: Local Area Connection, Local Area
Connection 2 and Network Bridge
I check properties on all, and there is no "Advanced Tab".
(I have DSL with a router and a hub).
Is my firewall already enabled? Help!

If you are using the Windows XP fire wall and also using AOL, then, no,
it's not working. Sorry, that's all I know about this, so can not
provide details.

Does anyone else know about running AOL with Microsoft XP
firewall and what I can do to protect myself?

AOL is not compatible with Windows XP firewall.
Contact AOL or install a 3rd party firewall.
