trying to unstall windows XP

i habe let my acount for the free 30 day trial end. and my
dad put it on the desk top and i didnt know and i put it
on my lap top. but where u can only have it on one
computer, i want to take it off of my lap top but dont
know how

You'll need to format the drive. Use either a W98 boot disk with the format
tools, or boot with the XP CD and walk through the setup till you come to
the "select drive and partition" section. You can format the drive from
here. You will want to be sure that your data is backed up first.

As long as you or he did not activate it, it can still be
installed on any computer.

Normally you don't need to remove the Win OS just reformat
the drive and do a clean install from disk that came with
your laptop. Each manufacture is different, but some call
it Restore disk. If you want a copy of XP on each computer
you will need to buy 2 copies of XP.
