Hi.
Lost WindowsME to a antivirus program now trying to install new windows
software - have 900Mhz AMD, SDRAM (128 + 128+ 256), 40 Gb HD - trying to
install XP home ed - At initial blue screen for set up get stuck at 63%, says
'Setup is copying files' in the lower right it says 'copying:pjlmon.dll' -
got to this place a number of times but the program keeps getting stuck.
Could you tell me, step-by-step how to get out of this - prior to this issue
had to repartition drive and deal with "NTLDR is missing' message.

Help please.
Thanks,

The first is probably due to this:

Setup stops responding with 34 minutes remaining

For the NTLDR missing problem:

You receive an "NTLDR is missing" error message when you start:

Thanks for the help - didn't help me out of my rut though... let's try this
again - doesn't say 34 minutes, says 63% complete with a yellow bar on an
entirely blue screen - no the set-up screen but the pre set up screen before
even asking for my product key. That's where it stalls out. pulled off any
periferals and restarted and got stuck again same spot.

Something is not quite right and I don't know enough about how to use DOS or
BIOs setting to make sure those set-ups are correct.
Please help

Basically, what you're probably wanting to do at this point is a nice clean
installation of Windows XP?

What you'll likely need to do to get by the 67% will be the same exact
things as the other page gave you. Basically try those same exact steps, in
order, and see if you can get past it. You're probably hung up on a device
and setup will keep trying but you may need to disconnect the device if it
can't get past it.

Thanks,

The most likely cause of this is a scratched or smudged
installation CD. It can also happen when you use a copy of the
original installation CD. I'd also try to use a different CD
drive.

Good luck
