Trying to repiar XP with original CDROM

Hi there,

After repairing XP by installing the original over the
original install then choosing repair XP. XP copies all
required files then reboots the machine and after 2 or 3
minutes a message saying "setup is being
restarted........"

Then after a while a window popup says something about my
password & then reboots the pc to start all over agin.

Please help

I'm facing the same issue. However, it asks for my admin
password, and when I enter it, it says that it is
incorrect and I cannot
continue with the repair. I know I'm using the correct
admin password, because I can still use all of my admin
functions. I can by-pass all of this and still load my
current
install of XP, but I really wanted to repair/reinstall the
darn thing. Let me know is you find anything out about
your issue that might help mine.
