trying to import .txt file

Hello,
I'm tring to import a large text file into access. Actually I would rather
"link" to this file. I've created a blank table with column widths
corresponding to the coumn widths in the text file. The txt file is space
delimited and "character (+)" delimted. The coumn widths are not all the
same. The first column is 10 characters, 2nd column is 4 characters, 3rd
coulumn is 1 character, 4th coulmn is 30 characters, etc. This file is
updated on a daily basis which is why I would rather link to it than import
it. I could post layout if that would be helpful.

Hi,

Access's built-in routine for importing and linking delimited text files
require that the the same delimiter character is used throughout the file.

Can you change the software that produces your file?
