This is turning out to be a very challenging project.
I am trying to get an R-60 IBM Thinkpad working right.

It was booting up into Win XP but it was on F: drive. ??

Later it said there were errors on the C: drive, it fixed a few buy I aborted it which was probably dumb of me.

Now I have set a password for the hard disk and either I am putting in the wrong one or who knows ?

I can't boot from a bootable pendrive or P.E. disk.

I tried a password recovery program on a pendrive, but no go.

Paperweight ?

Nope, it's easy enough to fix

If you want help though you will need to give specifics , your post was
way too vague

I got those problems fixed.

My current difficulty is with an IBM Thinkpad Model R60.

I forgot password to access the hard drive.

At the moment it is a paperweight. :-)

IBM has been less than helpful.

Find the biggest sledge hammer you can get. Place computer on a solid
surface such as a concrete sidewalk. Slam the hammer against the
computer at least 50 times, using as much force as possible. Pick up
the pieces and toss them in the garbage. PROBLEM SOLVED!
