I am trying to input a date in 1 column the input a number of days in another and excel to tell me the end date. For example
I input 4/16/2016 then input 90 (for the amount of days authorized) and excel tell me automatically the date of 7/16/2016.
Please help.

Hi Michelle, welcome to the forum :)

Your formula would simply be a sum of the start date and the number of days. For example, if you input a date in cell A1, and the number of days in cell B1, then the formula in, say, cell C1 would be =A1+B1

You need to make sure that the cells with dates in (ie cells A1 and C1) are formatted so that they show the date rather than a number, but do not apply the same formatting to the cell which shows the number of days (cell B1). To format a cell, simply right click on it and select Format Cells from the drop down list.
