Hi folks,

Can I just alert you to my freeware software..

Food File (food database)
http://www.kelpiesoft.com/applib/foodfile/index.htm

There are also a few things on the following page, you may be interested
http://www.willmcgugan.com/

I'd like to release more freeware in between commercial projects, so if
you have any ideas, please let me know..

Regards,

Will McGugan

Food File looks pretty nice. I've recently started paying attention to
that kind of stuff (Dr.'s orders blah!) Looks like it can be very
useful. Thanks. If science finds out later on that bacon, cigarettes,
and coffee are actually good for ya, I'm gonna be po'd. ;)

Will,
A lot of people will not download and install software that hasn't
been reviewed by a reputable freeware website, because it's easy for
somebody to post a link to malware. It might be a good idea for you to
submit your programs to Nonags, Snapfiles and the like for review.
You'll get a lot more takers.

HTH.

Thanks, just submitted it to both.

Its quite popular on download.com. Would you believe I have to pay $70
to get freeware listed there?!

Glad you like it. Actualy high protein foods like bacon help with
appetite control, and coffee can speed up metabolism. Your doc is
probably right about the cigs though..

I have downloaded it and like it. Not sure if it is the other guy or
you but there seem to be some differences in foods high in Frolic
Acid. Just a thought, not a complaint. Thank You

Will,

Nicely done and very a useful program to have. Could you add some other
methods of sorting though? For instance, if I wanted to find the lowest fat
content in a cereal - it would show the lowest ranked items top to bottom
for that category and I could then select the product. Other items listed in
the table also would be candidates for sorting each product/category.

Excellent interface, you obviously know what you're doing - great job and

Thank you,

Bob S.

Hey Gringo,

Where do you the the "Frolic Acid" from - that's gotta be better than that
ugly, yellar folic acid stuff I have to take.....;-) It even sounds
better...

This is a fun site, with easy to understand software, and just great
interfaces. Thanks for posting this.

Wow. That really sucks! Definitely not in the spirit of freeware, and
not a site I'd recommend in that case.

You might want to submit your software to these sites too:

A1B2C3 Freeware: http://www.a1b2c3.com/free/
Freeware Arena: http://www.freewarearena.com/html2/
Freeware Home: http://freewarehome.com/
Freeware World Team: http://www.all4you.dk/FreewareWorld/links.php
FreewareWeb: http://www.freewareweb.com/software.shtml
MajorGeeks: http://www.majorgeeks.com/

and I'm sure there are others people can recommend.

Will, I first downloaded it from download.com and got a damaged installer.
You might want to check the integrity of that download. It might have been
just a fluke.

Seems okay here. Download.com occasionaly have problems with downloads,
I image its because of the huge volume of them..

Glad you like it. I've had a lot of feature requests, sorting is a
popular one. It should be in a future version..
