Trust relationship between two domains

Hi all,

Is it possible to create a trust relationship between the
two domains (from 2 different networks)?
Domain A is in Chicago and domain B is in LA. Both is
using Windows 2000 Active Directory. We want users on
domain A have access to files on domain B and vice versa.

Any help would be appreciated it. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Sure it can done. What kind of connection do you have between the two
sites? If you are going across the Internet you will need to set up some
type of VPN.

Thanks,

Thanks for your quick response.

We have firewall to firewall VPN.

BTW, I received the following error when I tried this
command: "net use \\192.168.0.189\c$"

"The trust relationship between this workstation and the
primary domain failed."

Does this mean there is no trust between the two domains?
(Domain A has a subnet of .0 and domain B has a subnet
of .1)

Thanks,
TN
