Truncated Memo Field - Exporting to Excel

Hi,

I'm exporting a query from Access 2003 to Excel 2003. All of the memo
fields are truncated to 255 characters. I know there is a way around this in
Access 2000, but the solution does not work for Access 2003. Please help.

Thanks.

Best regards,

Sheldon...

Hi Ken,

Sorry, I have been away for a few days.

I did not use TransferSpreadsheet at all. I tried Office Links on the Tools
menu, then I tried to Export to Excel manually.

The manual export process uses EXCEL 95 version of data... which means no
strings longer than 255 characters. You'll need to use a macro to run the
TransferSpreadsheet action (or use VBA code to run this action). There, you
can specify a current version of EXCEL (version 9, for example), etc. that
is not limited this way.
