Windows 2000 was placed on my computer yesterday and now I
am unable to set my display at the preferred (for me)
setting of 800x600 using true colors. That option is not
offered now on my display. True colors can only be viewed
in this larger format. What did I do wrong? I can't stand
looking at this large display...I feel like I should be
sitting across the room! If any one has an answer please
e-mail me at my addy above...I'm not good with newsgroups
of this sort. Thanks for any help in getting back to my
right display setting...I'm a graphics designer, not a
computer literate :^)

Check the display adapters vendor's site for an updated driver, or add memory to
the display adapter.

She doesn't need to add RAM to the adapter! She needs
the correct drivers for the adapter that are W2K
compatible! Check adapter manufacturer's site for a w2K
compliant driver. If they don't support W2K with that
video board, then replace it with one that does
(regardless of how much video ram is on board).

Yes the issue is the Video card or the drivers. You didn't do anything wrong. I hope your video card is AGP not PCI.
