Troubleshooting .Net Framework, Installing 1.1 from 1.0

I have see several instances where .Net Framework 1.0 is installed and can't
upgrade to 1.1, are there any utilities that can check the .Net install to
see if it is corrupt? Maybe an app similar to the MDAC checker?
These machines are all running XP Pro sp2.

I never heard of such thing as upgrade .NET 1.0 to 1.1. Where can you get
such instalation package to "upgarde"? When you get .net1.1 from MS
(downloading), you install entire .NET 1.1, whether there is 1.0 or not.
They can co-exist. You can also choose to remove 1.0 (really not necessary),
but there is no such thing that you upgrade 1.0 to .NET 1.1.
