Trouble with Repeated IEEE-1284.4-1999 Network Driver (Windows) Is

Having repeated problems with the above encountering a problem and shutting
down my son's computer. Is there a driver I need?

Would appreciate any help!

Similar here regarding USB connected printer, its a pseudo IEEE 1284
connection (LPT port), not actual. So, I would suspect, its associated with
a the printer.

I do not have shutdown problem though.
