trouble with IE

I can't use IE as my browser. Netscape works fine. When I
try to download the newest version of IE I get a error
message that setup has detected a newer version of IE
already installed. setup Cannot continue.

Hi,

Start, Settings, Internet, Advanced. Check [x] Show Internet Explorer on the
desktop.

In addition, you can do Start, Run, IEXPLORE to start Internet Explorer.

What exactly happens when you try to open Internet Explorer? Please post the error messages encountered if any.
