I noticed in my desktop computer C:\Documents and
Settings\Johnny\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files,
there are No files with "cookie:johnny@" this must be
the reason why IE6 will Not remember my site log (sign)
in after rebooting! What is causing this to happen? I
check my IE options against my notebook(which is ok)and
the settings are the same!

Apparently, there is some sort of problem with the latest updates of
IE6/WinXP regarding cookies...

I myself have the exact same problem as (I guess) everybody else who has
updated their software through Windows Update in the past couple of weeks. I
can NOT get IE to remember any logins, no matter what settings I use.

As I understand the problem, Microsoft has tried to patch up a security risk
and in the process also made the "auto-login-through-cookie-recognition
function" non-working.
Correct?
If so, is there any hope of a solution that really works? (And not just the
usual "check your settings" type of answer...)

And yes, I've read the relating technical report, but either I'm a true
airhead or it just highlights the problem and doesn't give any real solution
to the problem.
