trouble with a dynamic web template.

Hi All,
When I try to attach a previously used dynamic template i get this message:
'dynamic web template (..)cannot be attached because it is currently being
edited as a text document'.
I don't like to make copy after copy and rename it to attach my dwt.
Does anyone have the solution?

Are you saying no other files are open? ... I'd reboot and try again...
also delete all frontpage temp files and ie temp files.

Make sure "FrontPage ( Open as HTML )" is set as the Default editor for
..dwt files and not notepad.

Tools > Options > Configure editors.
