TROUBLE UPLOADING

I had tremendous problems with uploading my existing websitse after getting a
new computer. I struggled for weeks and weeks and weeks .... well you know
what it's like. Many questions to host and not getting the right answers.
I've just figured out the problem. It was simple, but no-one I ask suggested
it. I had just got a new computer with Windows XP (had 98 previously). It
was the built in XP Firewall that was causing the non-uploading. I turned it
off, and the whole things works perfectly. So if you suddenly get XP and
can't upload, this could be the problem. Go to Control Panel, Internet
Connections, and in the left hand menu you can click to change Firewall
settings. By all means re-set them to "on" after you finish uploading if you
want to.

You don't need to turn off the firewall, but you may need to add FP to the Exceptions under the Firewall
