I backup my files using a hard-disk on a rack. I have two of them on
the same sort of rack, and so swap them every two weeks for added
security.
All I had to do was turn the pc off, swap the disks and then reboot,
and the newly placed hd was recognized immediately with no further
ado.
But it doesn't work any more:
I just upgraded one of the hard disks to a larger size, and used
win2k's system by config panel/admin tools/management/disk manager to
set up the new hd.
Now when I swap disks, Win2k no longer recognized automatically the
newly placed disk - have to go through the whole process by config
panel/admin etc so that the newly placed disk is "seen".
What have I done wrong??
