TROUBLE SENDING E MAIL

In windows Vista, I am having trouble sending e mail text that I have copied
from Microsoft Works and try to copy into the Body of new e mail. When I
click on Paste, the whole e mail screen goes dim and then disappears, which
takes me back to my desktop. This problem has just started about two weeks
ago. I would appreciate any help with this problem.
 
Which antivirus are you running? Some of them cause problems with
Windows Mail over time.
Also, did you install IE8 about the time that the trouble started?
