Mister Scary

It's been a while since I've tried to use it. It is connected via
firewirea. It comes up in the Device Manager but I don't see it in Windows
Explorer.

The following drives are all internal on my machine

A: floppy
C: hard drive
D: Main DVD-ROM
E: CD-RW
F: Compact Flash
G: Smart Media Drive
H: Memory Stick Drive
I: SD Card Drive

I have used my external DVD-RW successfully in the past.

Can anyone tell me how to make this work?

Right click on My Computer and select Manage. Then click on Disk
Management. Can you see it on the right hand side of the screen? Can you
assign it a drive letter?

Yes, I see it there with drive letter J assigned. But it doesn't show up in
Windows Explorer.

I tried updating the firmware of the DVD-RW and it has resolved the glitch
with Windows Explorer.
